A Few Things…

Filed under: Offline, WebsiteFirst of all… I feel like such an idiot. For some reason my settings on WordPress have been set to approve comments on the blog before they are posted. Yeah, so I had no idea. I just logged on a few minutes ago to start blogging and I saw I had two comments waiting for approval :/ Sorry to both Anja and Jade for not responding earlier (I don’t know when you both commented) but I will as soon as this post is over.
Segundo (second in Portuguese)… Everything emotional-wise about losing the baby has been getting better. Yes, of course it’s very hard to forget that I was just recently pregnant. I go into Target or even the mall to run some errands and I still find myself turning my head towards anything baby. I still get all excited about seeing tiny newborn onesies and cute room sets. It was also really hard when we were over at Branden’s (my husband) mom’s house (so my mother-in-law) for his niece’s two year birthday and later on in the day hearing his sister say that she regretted having Phoenix. That completely broke my heart because everybody there knew about what had just happened and that it was completely unmentionable. And Phoenix is such a good child, too. Even though she’s not very talkative, she always obeys what everyone tells her and she gets along great with other kids as well. So she has nothing to be complaining about. Immediately, I got out of my seat outside and went inside his mom’s house, so the rest of the time we were there, I was extremely put off and in a terrible state.
However, since that incident we’ve been coping very well. We’ve decided not to try for any children right now, waiting until we’re in a better financial situation and when I’ve completely finished school. I’ve actually done some research and because of my surgery I had in November I’m hoping to start taking Depo-Provera, the birth control shot you take once every three months. Hopefully, some of you out there have taken it or at least heard of it. What are your experiences/thoughts on it?
Last but not least… I have found a job! I’m going to doing medical records/receptionist at an internal medicine clinic owned by a local hospital. They’re finishing my background check (confirming everything with my parents’ company since I’ve been working for them for almost three years) and then I start orientation. I’m so excited.
Have a good day everyone.
